5 Sessions, Starts April 21

12pm San Francisco - 3pm New York - 8pm London

Explore the geometry of the ancients, and revive integral theories and practices that open you to a wider vision of reality.

The harmony of the universe is expressed in the mathematics of balance and form. Sacred geometry is present in the stars in the sky, the structures we build, the landscapes we encounter, even our own human bodies.
  • How can you become more conscious of the natural mathematical order that surrounds us?
  • In what ways does sacred geometry underlie our perceptions, and our sense of self?
  • How do the principles of sacred geometry lend themselves to applications in your life?
The Golden Ratio, Pi, Phi, the Fibonacci Series, fractals, Squaring the Circle -- these are only some examples of how the underlying mathematics of existence bring order and beauty to our experience. Throughout history, sacred geometry has been expressed in music, architecture, meditation, painting. Plato said that an understanding of sacred geometry is the necessary first step toward the study of metaphysics. It is central to Gothic Cathedrals, the Great Pyramid, and Stonehenge, and is expressed through a multitude of biological manifestations.
Once you become aware of them, the principles of sacred geometry can be seen and used in a vast number of ways. Today it can be applied to the digital space through concepts of elegant design in programming, magical experience design in the event space, and web architecture designed to mirror natural ratios.
Join Reality Sandwich's David Metcalfe as he hosts a 5-part live, interactive video course that covers the full range of this ancient art. Each session will feature a discussion on a central aspect of sacred geometry with one or two leading experts, including:
  • Randall Carlson, of Sacred Geometry International

  • Dr. Scott Olsen, author of The Golden Section: Nature's Greatest Secret
  • John Martineau, author of A Little Book of Coincidence in the Solar System, publisher of Wooden Books
The course starts on April 21 and takes place on 5 consecutive Sundays. You will be part of the discussion, able to ask your questions on camera, just like a Skype call. These sessions will be filled with provocative information, clear instruction, and practical advice. Where else could you find such an in-depth exploration of sacred geometry with experts of this caliber?

April 21  - Introduction to Sacred Geometry
Guest: Randall Carlson

12pm San Francisco - 3pm New York - 8pm London

Randall Carlson describes Sacred Geometry as an expression of “rational creativity” that allows us to interact with the underlying structure of cosmic creation. One of the most revered Sacred Geometry experts, Randall will lead our introductory session by exploring our course's main themes.  We will look at how Sacred Geometry is a bridge for us to understand the union of   Science and Spirit. And we will review the many ways that mathematical principles have been expressed through culture throughout history.
Randall is uniquely qualified to interpret the hidden meaning of the great masterpieces of mystical architecture, as well as esoteric and occult ritual and symbolism. The founder of Sacred Geometry International, he is a master builder and architectural designer, teacher, geometrician, geomythologist, geological explorer and renegade scholar. He has four decades of study, research and exploration into the interface between ancient mysteries and modern science, has been an active Freemason for 30 years and is Past Master of one of the oldest and largest Masonic lodges in Georgia. His work incorporates Ancient Mythology, Astronomy, Earth Science, Paleontology, Symbolism, Sacred Geometry and Architecture, Geomancy, and other arcane and scientific traditions. For over 25 years he has presented classes, lectures, and multimedia programs synthesizing this information for students of the Mysteries.
It is Randall's aspiration to affect a revival of lost knowledge towards the goal of creating the new world based upon universal principles of harmony, freedom, and spiritual evolution.

April 28 - Nature and Number: Manifestations of Sacred Geometry in Society
Guests: Paul Devereux and Randall Carlson

12pm San Francisco - 3pm New York - 8pm London

Our second session features a special dialog between Randall Carlson and sacred geography expert Paul Devereux. We'll delve deeper into how geometry and ratios are manifested in nature, and are in turn expressed through culture and consciousness, especially in ancient monuments -- places venerated as spiritual centers for millennia. We will discover their ‘secret language’. Devereux and Carlson will also introduce us to the enigmatic ‘spirit roads’ which archaeologists have discovered crossing much of Asia, Europe, North and South America, and show how these mysterious ancient highways gives us a key to understanding the way cultures throughout history mapped the spirit world, or mind, onto the physical landscape.
The author of many books, including Sacred Geography: Deciphering Hidden Codes in the Landscape, Paul Devereux was the founding co-editor of the peer-reviewed TIME & MIND - Journal of Archaeology, Consciousness and Culture. Paul’s research interests in archaeology focus especially on “cognitive” aspects, trying to “get inside” the prehistoric mind, and this has broadened into the study of anthropological themes, especially what is known as “the anthropology of consciousness.” This in turn led him to become involved more generally in what is loosely termed “consciousness studies.” For 20 years (1976-1996) he edited and published the legendary journal The Ley Hunter, eventually deconstructing the modern myth of “leylines,” for which he has not been forgiven in some quarters! But his authentic and documented research into spirit and death roads across archaic landscapes developed directly from his early ley interests. Paul is a Senior Research Fellow, International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL) group, at Princeton.

May  5 -  Messages in the Monuments
Guests: Robert Schoch and Richard Merrick

12pm San Francisco - 3pm New York - 8pm London

Having seen how these structures emerge from nature, what we can learn by studying the ancient monuments themselves? In our third session we will be joined by Robert Schoch, one of the world's leading experts on ancient pyramids, and Richard Merrick, who has written insightfully on the effects of architecture on consciousness. They will discuss how the ancients used Sacred Geometry in architecture -- focusing on pyramids and cathedrals -- and the profound impact this had on the people who entered these sacred spaces. Remarkably, ancient builders were able to apply mathematical principles to alter consciousness, and we will explore how this effect was achieved.
In the early 1990s, Dr. Robert M. Schoch stunned the world with his revolutionary research that recast the date of the Great Sphinx of Egypt to a period thousands of years earlier than its standard attribution.  Dr. Schoch’s latest research, put forth in his newest book, Forgotten Civilization: The Role of Solar Outbursts in Our Past and Future, points to the astronomical cause of the demise of antediluvian civilizations, as well as the scientific and archaeological evidence that supports his conclusions. The author and coauthor of books both technical and popular, Dr. Schoch’s works include Voyages of the Pyramid Builders: The True Origins of the Pyramids from Lost Egypt to Ancient America (2003), and Pyramid Quest: Secrets of the Great Pyramid and the Dawn of Civilization (2005). Robert is a full-time faculty member at the College of General Studies at Boston University since 1984.
After twenty-five years as a successful entrepreneur in the fields of software, new media, and the Internet, Richard Merrick left the business world to pursue his passion studying the theory and history of harmonic science. Since then he has authored the groundbreaking books Interference: A Grand Scientific Musical Theory, and The Venus Blueprint: Uncovering the Ancient Science of Sacred Spaces. A longtime speaker on the future of digital media, his latest research has taken him to the fifteenth-century Rosslyn chapel in Scotland, where he presented new information about its geometric and acoustical design.

May 12 - The Geometry and Harmony of Heaven and Earth
Guest: John Martineau

12pm San Francisco - 3pm New York - 8pm London

In our fourth session, author and publisher John Martineau will lead us in a discussion about visual and auditory aesthetics. Through a presentation of powerful images derived from his Wooden Books series, he will show how simple and beautiful ratios and proportions emerge into patterns that can be found in the orbits of celestial objects, and are mirrored in sacred and secular art.  We will explore concepts of “Musica universalis,” or the “Music of the Spheres,” and see how Sacred Geometry mirrors the profound mathematical relationships found in nature.
John Martineau, Architectual consultant, acclaimed geometer, and publisher of Wooden Books, John has published more than 50 books on all subjects related to the modern sciences and ancient arts. Martineau’s own A Little Book of Coincidences in the Solar System reveals the exquisite orbital patterns of the planets and the mathematical relationships that govern them, including the beautiful dance patterns of thirty six pairs of planets and moons.

May 19  - PHI, Nature & the Transformation of Consciousness
Guest: Dr. Scott Olsen

12pm San Francisco - 3pm New York - 8pm London

What is “Natures greatest secret?” In our fifth session, Dr. Scott Olsen will answer this question and provide evidence that we are literally on the threshold of a New Renaissance in the sciences, arts and the study of consciousness.  And it is rooted in the Ancient Wisdom of Sacred Geometry.  Perhaps the most striking feature for many is that the same Principle of Divine Proportion lies at the heart of both Beauty and Optimal Function in all fields, including physics and spirituality.  And it appears the ancients were aware of it. We will explore the central role of the Golden Section, one of the keys to the mathematics of Nature and the Cosmos, and its impact on our sciences and ultimately our own Transformation of Consciousness.
Scott first received international acclaim by successfully decoding the geometric mysteries of Plato. His book, (click on the title to watch the   youtube intro to) The Golden Section: Nature’s Greatest Secret, received rave reviews, and in 2007 was awarded a 1st place for design by the Bookbinders’ Guild of New York. A life-long student of the Ancient Wisdom, he has studied under physicist David Bohm, world religion expert Huston Smith, sacred geometers Keith Critchlow & John Michell, and esotericist Douglas Baker. A member of the Theosophical Society in America, Scott lectures widely on the Perennial Philosophy (in both its ancient and modern forms) with special emphasis on the Divine Proportion and transformative states of consciousness. In 2009 he assisted Alexey Stakhov with his highly acclaimed book, The Mathematics of Harmony: From Euclid to Contemporary Mathematics and Computer Science. He is Professor of Philosophy & Religion at the College of Central Florida.
