5 Sessions

[Individual sessions available]

Experience contact with divine forces and discover how to raise your vibration to the next level.

Take part in a direct encounter with divine teachers — invisible guides who are working on the behalf of humanity during this time of transition and change. These teachers are calling us to wake up into the new consciousness, to raise our vibration, in order to serve our higher selves and support planetary transformation. In this unique online course, you can ask these teachers your questions and hear them in dialog with some of today’s leading spiritual scholars.
For nearly 20 years, Paul Selig has led channeled energy groups, developing his gifts as a clairaudient. He has channeled 3 remarkable books of teachings from his guides: I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation, and The Book of Knowing and Worth. Together these books offer an extraordinary new work in the body of channeled teachings, helping readers to achieve new levels of healing, self-awareness and life purpose.
In his workshops, off-line and online, Paul’s guides offer teachings that tune into the interests and needs of those who are present. Participants describe the palpable energy that they experience — a transmission of higher vibrational frequency that has a lasting impact. Through these teachings, Paul’s guides are presenting a comprehensive and contemporary approach to divine wisdom that honors free choice, individual creativity and social engagement.
For this unique, 5-part live, interactive video course, Paul  invited 3 knowledgeable and insightful experts in contemporary spirituality and the occult to engage in dialog with his guides and explore the phenomena of channeling: Mitch Horowitz, Charles Eisenstein, and Jeffrey Kripal. Also taking part was Victoria Nelson, a scholar of the transcendent in Western culture, who witnessed the channeling of all 3 of Paul’s books.
These sessions are filled with provocative insights, clear instruction, and practical advice from pioneers at the leading edge of a new, emerging paradigm of reality.

Session 1 - An Introduction to Channeled Teachings
Guest: Mitch Horowitz

Joining Paul Selig for our first session is Mitch Horowitz, one of today’s most knowledgeable and popular writers on the occult. Mitch opens the session with an exploration of the history of mediumship and channeling - particularly as the phenomena have shaped religious history in America. Mitch touches on figures such as medical clairvoyant Edgar Cayce, Mormon prophet Joseph Smith, and Spiritualist devotee Mary Todd Lincoln, and look at today’s revolution in channeled teachings. Paul then provides an actual, impromptu experience of channeling, which includes a discussion with Mitch and an open Q&A with all participants.
  • What is channeling and how does it compare to other forms of spiritual contact?
  • What is the experience of the channeler like?
  • How have channeled teachings directly influenced American spiritual life?

Mitch Horowitz is a PEN Award-winning historian and the author of One Simple Idea: How Positive Thinking Reshaped Modern Life and Occult America. He has written on alternative spirituality for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. Vice-president and editor-in-chief at Tarcher/Penguin, Mitch is the host of “Origins,” a forthcoming web series on the history of superstitions. Session 2 - Channeled Teachings in Context
Guest: Jeffrey J. Kripal

In our second session, Paul’s guest is Jeffrey J. Kripal, a leading scholar of religion and spirituality. Jeffrey opens the session by discussing the teachings of Paul’s guides, putting them into an historical context, comparing them to the early Christian Gnostics, among other traditions. Then Paul offers an experience of channeling, and Jeffrey has a discussion with Paul’s guides. This is followed by open Q&A with all participants.
  • How has channeled wisdom influenced our spiritual traditions?
  • How do the teachings of Paul’s guides align with those of other channeled teachings?
  • Is the wisdom of the Gnostics echoed in these 21st century channeled teachings?

Jeffrey J. Kripal holds the J. Newton Rayzor Chair in Philosophy and Religious Thought at Rice University, where he chaired the Department of Religion for eight years and helped create the GEM Program, a doctoral concentration in the study of Gnosticism, Esotericism, and Mysticism that is the largest program of its kind in the world. He is also the Associate Director of the Center for Theory and Research at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Jeff is the author of seven books, including Comparing Religions: Coming to Terms (Wiley-Blackwell, 2014), Mutants and Mystics: Science Fiction, Superhero Comics, and the Paranormal (Chicago, 2011), and Authors of the Impossible: The Paranormal and the Sacred (Chicago, 2010). He specializes in the comparative study and analysis of extreme religious states from the ancient world to today.

Session 3 - Ask the Guides
Paul Selig

In our third session, we open up the discussion to questions from the students. As he has in previous workshops, online and offline, Paul channels and the participants asked questions directly to his guides.

Session 4 - Explore the Process
Guest: Victoria Nelson

Joining Paul for our fourth session is Victoria Nelson, who has witnessed the channeling of all three of Paul’s books. Paul’s guides requested that Paul provide a witness to the channeling process, and he invited Victoria — a skeptic — to listen to the channeling by phone from her home in Berkeley. Victoria discusses how Paul’s channeling began, and talk with Paul about the process they followed for the book writing. Then Paul then invites his guides to speak, which is followed by a question to the guides by Victoria and open Q&A with all participants.
  • What is the creation process like for channeled texts?
  • Can anyone develop the sensitivity and ability to channel communications from spirit guides?
  • How can you tell that the divine is coming through you without the distortion of your own projections?

Victoria Nelson’s two award-winning critical works, The Secret Life of Puppets and Gothicka, both published by Harvard University Press, examine how the "repressed transcendental" finds expression in contemporary Western literary and popular culture. She has also published two books of stories, Wild California and A Bestiary of My Heart; a memoir, My Time in Hawaii; and On Writer's Block, a study of resistance and creativity. She teaches in the Goddard College graduate MFA creative writing program and is currently working on a novel and a second memoir.

Session 5 - Consciousness and Social Change
Guest: Charles Eisenstein

For our final session, Paul’s guest is the inspirational social thinker Charles Eisenstein, who is considered among the most influential and innovative philosophers of our time. Charles starts the session by discussing the teachings of Paul’s guides as part of a larger shift in global consciousness now taking place. Then Paul’s guides speak, with Charles asking them questions. This is followed by open Q&A with all participants.
  • How does higher consciousness contribute to social change?
  • Does a heightened spiritual awareness transform our ideas about work, wealth and community?
  • What is the relationship between channeling and other expressions of non-local consciousness?

Charles Eisenstein is a speaker and writer focusing on themes of human culture and identity. He is the author of several books, most recently Sacred Economics and The More Beautiful World our Hearts Know is Possible. His background includes a degree in mathematics and philosophy from Yale, a decade in Taiwan as a translator, and stints as a college instructor, a yoga teacher, and a construction worker. He currently writes and speaks full-time. He lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and four children.

About Our Host

In his breakthrough works of channeled literature, I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation and The Book of Knowing and Worth, author and medium Paul Selig recorded an extraordinary program for personal and planetary evolution as humankind awakens to its own divine nature. I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation and The Book of Knowing and Worth are energetic transmissions that work directly on their readers to bring them into alignment with the frequency of the Word, which Paul’s guides call the energy of “God in Action.”

Paul was born in New York City and received his Master’s Degree from Yale. He had a spiritual experience in 1987 that left him clairvoyant. As a way to gain a context for what he was beginning to experience, he studied a form of energy healing, working at Marianne Williamson’s Manhattan Center for Living and in private practice. In the process, he began to “hear” for his clients, and much of Paul’s work now is as a clairaudient, clairvoyant, channel, and empath.
