6 Sessions • Starts Tuesday, May 16th

PLEASE NOTE: There is no class May 30th. NEW session added June 27. See below for revised schedule.

Create more pleasure, deep healing, and greater agility by discovering what science knows about mindful communication and the power of touch.

How can we experience the intimacy we crave when we’re disassociated from our own bodies? From our yoga practice we know how deeply connected the psyche is to the body. The latest science confirms this interdependence. The body’s intelligence communicates with you, guiding you toward personal satisfaction and connection with others -- once you know how to listen.

  • The unified system that you live in – your beautiful body – may be the most inspired phenomenon in the universe.

  • The more your whole body is open, the deeper your spiritual realization will be.

  • When you become conscious of your sensual intelligence, you access an enduring freedom and power.

  • When we touch a part of our body we touch our life experience.

We take painstaking steps to get under the skins of those closest to us, yet spend minimal time, if any, getting under our very own. Instead we constrict, often unconsciously, trapping emotions, blocking a natural biological flow of information. Ironically, we desire intimacy and love, yet fully armor against it. The physical act of compressing our nerves, tissues, and blood flow ignites inflammation and pain, dulls sensitivity and pleasure, and recycles tired patterns. Ignoring these self-sabotaging patterns, and your own body, limits spiritual growth.

In this pathbreaking, 6-part live interactive video course, you will explore exactly what physical bliss is and how it is an enlightened state of being. You will receive new tools for opening into flow with your own body, unlocking the reservoirs of uncharted life. Sensual intelligence frees you to engage in your highest purpose.

Emotions shape your experience and are fundamental to every level of higher brain function. Your body is your diary - the imprint of emotion, whether traumatic and painful, or ecstatic. If you wonder why you keep making the same mistakes, why you feel numb, feel pain, or are triggered when touched, ask your body. It will tell you the truth.

This course is led by Natalie Geld, author of Sensual Intelligence: An Introduction to Your Body’s Language, co-founder and creative director of the international science and education collaborative the Society for Mind Brain Sciences, and Founder/CEO of MedNeuro Media advancing medical education. Natalie has been outlining and exploring the sensual mind-body connection as a renowned educator for many years, helping people to align with their own body's wisdom and live freer, fully present and pleasurable lives.

For this exciting course, Natalie Geld has gathered six leading experts to unravel polarizing topics essential to expanding our human potential. Each session will be an intimate dialogue with the innovators in consciousness, medicine, neuroscience, anatomy, sexuality, structural integration and cutting-edge therapeutic healing paradigms:

  • Caroline Muir is an internationally-celebrated Tantra Yoga educator. She is the author of two bestselling books, Tantra Goddess: A Memoir of Sexual Awakening and Tantra and The Art of Conscious Loving.

  • Rick Hanson, Ph.D. is a psychologist, Senior Fellow at the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, and New York Times bestselling author of Hardwiring Happiness, Buddha's Brain, Just One Thing, and Mother Nurture.

  • Megwyn White is the founder of EmbodyVoice. She has spent over 20 years researching and exploring the dynamics of human emotions as they are mapped inside the body’s tissue.

  • Gil Hedley, PhD is the founder of Somanautics Workshops, Inc., which has provided professional continuing education to both physicians and allied health professionals for the past 20 years. An eminent integral anatomist, he is the author of Reconceiving My Body, Coming Into Form and About This Leaving.

  • Scott Russo, PhD is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Director of the Russo Lab of Neural and Immune Mechanisms of Psychiatric Illness. He was elected one of the “Most influential Scientific Minds” by Thomson-Reuters.

  • Anne-Marie Duchêne is the founder of Art of Alignment, and a Hellerwork Structural Integration Specialist where she has coached and assisted thousands of clients around the world for the past 25 years in restoring their health and wellbeing.

You will be part of the discussion, able to ask your questions on camera, just like a Skype call. If you happen to miss a live session, you can view a video recording at any time.

In this course you will learn to:

  • Release unconscious holding patterns

  • Be in your body in a whole new way -- even sitting in a chair will be a new experience

  • Gain crucial insight into your anatomy and mind by hearing from leading experts in psychosomatic science

  • Expand your capacity for love, intimacy, pleasure, joy and creativity

  • Improve your communication with yourself and, as an added benefit, improve your communication with others

As a bonus, you will receive a special guided audio meditation of your body from head to toe narrated by Natalie - a unique hands-on tour, where you’ll learn to perceive your flesh and blood from within.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to give yourself the greatest gift: learn how to align with your own body's genius from some of the world’s leading experts and researchers in the study of human potential.

Tuesday, May 16th – Overcoming the Brain’s Negativity Bias and Understanding the Hardwiring of Happiness

Guest: Dr. Rick Hanson

8:00 pm New York • 5:00 pm San Francisco

In the first session, Natalie will be joined by neuropsychologist and bestselling author, Dr. Rick Hanson, to discuss how our thought patterns shape our body's responses. We will explore how thought and emotion are inseparable, and how our senses are deeply interconnected with our biological and neurochemical communication. We will discuss the brain’s evolutionary drivers, consider a more desired framework, and uncover belief systems conditioned by family, society and culture to free you of negative and stifling thought patterns.

Rick will share techniques for tuning into the sensations of your body to read other people better -- and not just your lover, but also customers, co-workers, your boss.  And we will learn how to stimulate generous love hormones that have the capacity to alleviate anxiety, relax digestion and heart rate, and generate warmth, joy and intimacy.

Rick Hanson, PhD., is a psychologist, Senior Fellow of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, and New York Times bestselling author. His books include Hardwiring Happiness, Buddha’s Brain, Just One Thing, and Mother Nurture and they’ve been translated into 26 languages. He edits the Wise Brain Bulletin and has numerous audio programs. Founder of the Wellspring Institute for Neuroscience and Contemplative Wisdom, he’s been an invited speaker at NASA, Oxford, Stanford, Harvard, and other major universities, and taught in meditation centers worldwide.

Tuesday, May 23rd – Reverie of Flesh and Blood: Divine Energy of Integral Anatomy

Guest: Dr. Gil Hedley

8:00 pm New York • 5:00 pm San Francisco

After a lifetime of believing we need to transcend our body to achieve holiness, it’s time we realize our bodies as sacred. In this session, Natalie and her guest Gil Hedley explore inner space, taking you into the raw materials of your body in surprising, illuminating ways. Life is relentlessly writhing inside our chests, rhythmically drumming every cell in our bodies. 100,000 times a day, our hearts leap within us.

Have you ever found yourself holding your breath as if bracing against your life? The quality of our heart’s movement deeply reflects our emotional and spiritual patterns. If we examine our lives, seeking to know the places where we refuse to move, or where we deny our deepest longings, we will know the ways in which we limit the phase space of our hearts.

“Phase space” is a term borrowed from physics, which we use to reference all the space the heart might occupy when moving freely over a period of time. You will gain insight into whether or not your phase space is shrinking and you will discover how to regularly bring forward conscious awareness in which you confine the movement of your heart. We will discuss the full energy of libido, and the truth about your clitoris, your senses and your amazing body. And learn to evolve your relationship with the F words: fascia, fat, foreskin.

Dr. Gil Hedley is the founder of Somanautics Workshops, Inc., which has provided professional continuing education to both physicians and allied health professionals for the past 20 years. And he is the creator of the world’s first Atlas of Integral Anatomy. Gil earned a BA in Religion focusing on ethics from Duke University, and went into the academic study of religion for graduate studies at the University of Chicago, where he earned his MA in the study of religion and PhD in theological ethics. An esoteric healing arts school grad, he practiced and taught Tai Chi for a number of years, and was at various points certified as both a massage therapist and a Rolfer. In addition to teaching his Six-Day Intensive Hands-On Human Dissection Workshops in the United States and abroad, Gil is also the producer of The Integral Anatomy series, a video series that documents his unique vision of the human body through on-camera dissection of the whole body layer by layer. Author of Reconceiving My Body, Coming Into Form and About This Leaving, his books explore how transformed perspectives can alter our embodied experience.

RESCHEDULED: Tuesday, May 30th – Fine Tuning Our Reward System: Pain and Pleasure, Inflammation and Neuroplasticity

Guest: Dr. Scott Russo

Note: This session will be included in NEXT week's class, on June 6. See below.

Look up the word intimacy in an old Oxford dictionary and your eyes will land on a sketch of your gut – your enteric system, or second brain next to the word ‘intimae.’ In this session, Natalie and her guest neuroscientist Scott Russo will do a deep dive into the importance of trusting your gut instinct, with your gut being the command central of your enteric and nervous systems and brain function.. We’ll explain how our brain and body cells communicate, adapt and change. And we will discuss how depression is a whole body disease. As Scott’s research indicates, depression is tied to the immune system; this discovery leads to a new physiological avenue for research into more effective depression therapies.

In this session, we will learn how inflammation affects core behavioral symptoms of depression and anxiety, and how your body’s neurons learn and adapt. We will also explore how you can stimulate change on deep physiological levels.

Elected one of the “Most influential Scientific Minds” by Thomson-Reuters, Dr. Scott J. Russo is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Director of the Russo Lab of Neural and Immune Mechanisms of Psychiatric Illness. A Johnson & Johnson / IMHRO Rising Star Translational Research Award winner, The Russo Laboratory of Neural and Immune Mechanisms of Psychiatric Illness uses a wide variety of experimental approaches to understand how the brain adapts to stress and drugs leading to altered synaptic connectivity and to guide future behavioral changes relevant to depression and addiction. A major focus of Dr. Russo’s research is to understand the neural and immunological mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Tuesday, June 6th – Art of Alignment: Empowering Structural, Spiritual and Sensual Integration

Guest: Anne-Marie Duchêne & Dr. Scott Russo

8:00 New York • 5:00 San Francisco

A shift in the body is a shift in consciousness. Examining our language and alignment is integral to this shift. Sensual means "fleshly; animal." Most animals preen, groom, and soothe themselves ritually. Yet most of us have been raised in environments that condition us away from the natural soothing of touch. In this session, Natalie and Anne Marie Duchêne discuss the interdependence of flesh, blood and bone; essence and power of loving touch.

Psycho-emotive states do influence pain levels manifested in the body. Restorative, warm laying on of your own hands melts your armor. Affectionate touch enlivens every cell where there is no fighting, no tightening of the underneath layers. Instead, there is full surrender, the type of surrender that leaves you connected and whole. The type of surrender where your tissues, muscles, and bones de-tensify, allowing you a private moment of deep awareness and appreciation. In this session, we will identify guarded emotions stored in the tissues of the body and share techniques to immediately relax your nervous system and release adhesion, inflammation and pain. We will empower you to be bold and dissolve barriers you’ve built against pleasure, so that you can manifest your wildest dreams.

Founder of Art of Alignment, Anne Marie Duchêne has coached and assisted hundreds of clients for over 25 years and around the world in restoring their health and wellbeing. Her work focuses on an integrative medical model designed to treat the person, not just the disease. As a Strategic Intervention and Leadership Coach, her clients include top IT executives and management teams for Oracle University and Microsoft. As a certified Hellerwork Structural Integration Practitioner and Visceral Manipulation Certification student of Barral Institute, her research includes yearly laboratory dissections with a focus on fascial and integral anatomy, with advanced training in neuropathy, biomechanics, osteopathy, psychosomatic therapy and Voice Dialogue. Anne-Marie was Cirque du Soleil’s first “Dance Specialist” for Cirque’s nineteen shows, and studied shamanic rituals and yoga as part of her ongoing clinical research. She is a faculty member of the Hellerwork International Education and Training Board, a member of IASI (International Association of Structural Integration), IAHP (International Association of Healthcare Practitioners) and VIP CEO Circle Member and Mentor for Womensphere, an organization committed to the unleashing of women’s power and leadership in the world.

Tuesday, June 13th – The Anatomy of Your Voice: Saying “Yes, and” to Emotional Resonance

Guest: Megwyn White

8:00 New York • 5:00 San Francisco

Each of us has something important to say, but for many, the voice doesn't always flow so easily, and too often your voice can get stuck just when it matters most. In this free- spirited session, we will explore the psycho-emotive interplay of your voice, your skull and jaw with your throat, pelvis and sexual centers. Megwyn White will provide brief full-body immersions and specific exercises to open trapped emotion and release tension in your voice and throat in order to empower aligned communication.

Many of us clench our jaws, hold in our stomachs, tense our shoulders, arms, and hands, tuck our tails or lock our hips, legs, and knees -- to brace against the world, or, to be honest, our inner life. What is the conscious way to unfold and unfurl? When we speak, the vibration and tone of our voice elicit emotional responses in others. Learn how to influence others positively; to resonate with your highest frequency potential.

Founder of EmbodyVoice, Megwyn White has spent over 20 years researching and exploring the dynamics of human emotions as they are mapped inside the body’s tissue. She graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she focused on physical theater and dance. She studied Yoga, Pilates, Taoist techniques, Tantra, and a more extensive study in the structure and architecture of the human body with teachers like Yamuna Zake, creator of Yamuna Body Logic, and Yamuna Body Rolling, and Rael Isacowitz, Founder of Body Arts and Science International. Through years working one on one with clients, she discovered "patterns of contraction" in relation to the energy of voice within the body. Her technique includes powerful self-care tools, and rituals that awaken the constellation of emotions that are often locked inside the body's tissue as fear, shame, and trauma.

Tuesday, June 20th – Feeling Your Sexuality: Trauma and Healing, Passion and Orgasm

Guest: Caroline Muir

8:00 pm New York • 5:00 pm San Francisco

Sexuality, love, power – they are all connected. Sexual energy contains our stories; our body is the imprint of emotion. Releasing pent up emotional energy liberates us to experience unexpected, unparalleled pleasure. In our final session, Natalie and her guest Caroline Muir explore desires, sexual curiosities, innermost feelings, fears, trauma, and needs which often cause that Holy Grail we call orgasm to become frustratingly elusive. Taoist Master Mantak Chia tells us that keeping sexuality out of our awareness is like trying to keep ping pong balls underwater.

Educating men in the art of sexual healing is part of a healthy sex life. But how do you do that? In the dark about your sexuality? You’re not alone. While candles, panties and porn are titillating props, real intimacy demands that we shift beyond merely the routines of sex to its full expression. Imagine a way of being, not just a roll in the sack.

Tantra is yoga, and explores sexuality as a doorway to the divine. Tantra means "to manifest, to expand, to show and to weave." In this context, sex is thought to expand consciousness and to weave together the polarities of male (represented by the Hindu god, Shiva), and female (embodied by the Hindu goddess, Shakti), into a harmonious whole. Earthly pleasures such as eating, dancing and creative expression are included in these sacred acts. We will explore how to integrate sexual energy and consciousness with the rest of your being for healthy sexual expression.

We will untangle fear and shame, pain and pleasure. Acquaint you with sexual healing aspects so you can move into passion and sex. You will learn simple rituals that will rouse desire and attract more love. Learn the steps in sensitivity to notice when your partner, or you are not present. Learn how to access your sacred spot (both men and women have one) and discover how to move orgasmic energy through the spinal cord to the brain to experience lasting whole body pleasure.

Caroline Muir is internationally celebrated as a Tantra Yoga educator, best-selling author, and the Queen of the modern Tantra movement. She is the author of two bestselling books, Tantra Goddess: A Memoir of Sexual Awakening and Tantra and The Art of Conscious Loving. Caroline founded the Divine Feminine Institute for Men and Women, which certified Spiritual Sexual Educators from 2004-2012. She now heads up Divine Feminine Awakening and is the co-founder of The Sacred Feminine Mystery School. Caroline has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Yoga Journal, PlayGirl, Elle, Glamour, Esquire, Healthy Living, Asia Spa, and many others, and she has recently released her living legacy online program called Living A Turned-On Life.
